Kigamboni Bridge which is 680-meter-long bridge in Tanzania that connects the Dar es Salaam ward

BOTANICAL GARDENS AND KARIMJEE HALL

On your way to the Botanical gardens that were established a hundred years ago by Germans, you will see the Ocean Road Hospital and the State House. At Karimjee Hall you’ll be able to see the fantastic architecture while your guide explains the history behind it.

At the Mwenge Carvers Market you will be able to browse the stalls, chat with the carvers and buy
souvenirs if you wish. The market is made up of small shops with stands displaying carvings of
different kinds, traditional dresses, the Tinga Tinga paints and more.


MAKUMBUSHO VILLAGE

After the market you next stop is the Makumbusho Village museum which allows you to get a feel for
the whole of Tanzania in a very short time. The Makumbusho Village museum is more interactive
than the National Museum giving you an in-depth understanding of life in Tanzania.

BONGOYO ISLAND

Take the boat from Slipway for a 30-minute cruise to the island located off the coast of Dar es Salaam. You can use the island’s facilities and sandy beach for a chance to swim, snorkel and relax.
